Is Mitt Romney a good choice for President of the United States of America? Would he lead us with confidence and conviction, or by poll and public opinion? Is he a good opponent for President Obama, or will his nomination lead to a landslide victory for the incumbent? It’s amazing to me how many people have such strong opinions on both sides of the fence when it comes to Mitt Romney, and his ability to faithfully lead our country. Regardless of your political affiliation, he is what we DO know for fact about the Republican hopeful.

Politics is almost entirely in the eye of the beholder. Obviously conservatives, libertarians, progressives and environmentalists have different ideas about government. But their clash goes much deeper. Political disagreement isn't really about politics. It is about competing worldviews; different conceptions of ethics, morality, relationships and communities.

There will be upcoming Supreme Court battles regarding the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. The ban on handguns in Washington, D.C., was thrown out and now other laws around the country are being changed or flat out thrown away. Even though the 2nd Amendment was put on the Bill of Rights right below the 1st Amendment some people still have a hard time seeing its relevancy.

great news thought i would never see this.

Last month I had mixed emotions as I watched the flight of the “Discovery” space shuttle orbiter on television as it was being retired to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.; on the one hand I was proud of our achievements in space, but on the other, I was sad to realize the shuttle’s mothballing represented an end of an era, that our space program for all intents and purposes has stalled and we are now dependent on others to get us into space, a service we used to perform with great regularity.

Voting boxes are used through out the world in the voting booths and polling booths as a means of ensuring that democracy is observed during elections. Today’s elections are encountered with people who are only hungry for power and those who have no interest of the common man in the country. When the elections are held, and democracy is not exercised, the country is thrown to a lot of turmoil and this result to results which don’t portray the democracy of the people.
